The HP System Recovery tool was unable to repair. I had this happen on a computer I support. I tried to do the "Repair your computer" option using a Windows 7 install disc and got the error I have not had time yet to fully diagnose what happened since it was late and the computer will not boot at all. I don't want to blame the antivirus yet but I then found this Microsoft article where there are compatibility issues with Symantec and I fear this is another update and antivirus issue like we experienced in April where we had to touch 300+ computers ->Įxcept this is even worse as I can not even get into safe mode.
